NANCY MILLS

At the age of 70, Nancy Mills started painting. She hadn’t held a paintbrush in 65 years. Hers is an art story of fate and destiny. And a return to her childhood passion that was buried so deep, it took 65 years to re-emerge.

Drawn to start painting in watercolors, to this day, she has no idea why she chose this medium. Each color appears to her as a healing burst of light.

As an intuitive artist, she has this gift, where energy comes through her hands. ”Led” to what she is going to paint and what colors to use, she never knows what she’ll paint before she begins. Her art is known to carry a special transformative energy. Now at 74, she’s painted over 700 energy art paintings and many are in art collections worldwide.

Prior to becoming an artist, Nancy’s background included public relations, travel writing, being a women’s empowerment leader and an inspirational writer. Over 20 years ago, she founded Spirited Woman, a renowned women’s empowerment community that helped inspire and support 1000’s of women worldwide.

Today, while focusing primarily on her art, Nancy continues to give back through her Spirited Woman Foundation & Endowment Fund, by donating a percentage of her art proceeds to women's causes, such as domestic violence. Nancy strongly believes in giving back.

She is a member of the Southern California Women's Caucus for Art, the California Watercolor Association, the National Society of Watercolor, and was recently honored to be accepted to the Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825. It is one of LA's most prestigious art organizations designed to introduce the city to new emerging artists.

Nancy paints and lives in Playa Vista, California on land that once was an Indian Burial Ground.

“I am so moved by Nancy’s art, that I have become a significant collector. Quite simply: Nancy has put her power into her palette and has since been creating some magnificent works of art that fill my space with positive, uplifting, and transformational energy. That energy has gone on to change my life.”
