I AM A SNOWFLAKE Workshop
Using the book, participants explore various aspects of life situations in a group setting. The process is gentle and individuals are led through exercises to open up awareness of self. Daryl offers the group a warm and friendly environment to share their personal experiences. Time is spent recognizing individuals and reaffirming their presence. There is a fun, creative component that allows them to manifest their feelings. The workshop is designed to last approximately 2 1/2 hours depending on the enthusiasm and interaction of the group. (This is flexible) Materials other than those listed under costs are provided. It is highly recommended that only young people who choose to attend are included to afford comfort and respect to all. A recommended group is 10 - 20 children ages 10 - 12 OR ages 13 - 15 OR 16 - 18. Groups that have been meeting previously and are of mixed ages are also suitable. No additional adult supervision is required for older groups and for younger groups it is helpful to have assistance during the creative portion (the last hour). Adults should not be related to the children nor should they have a close tie such as home room teacher etc. Costs: Each participant is required to purchase a copy of the book. Discounts on the book cost will be offered equal to the number of participants in conjunction with the workshop. Facilitation fee is $300.00 for workshops held in southern Ontario. (Approximately from Orillia in the north, to Aurora in the east, to London in the south and throughout the greater Toronto area) For groups scheduling two or more workshops (same day or close) there may be further discounts. Each participant will need a pair of scissors. Comments from recent participants: What is one important thing you learned from this experience? and "That I am special because I'm different.
